The Rio Grande Valley has a moderate climate with a nearly endless supply sunshine that make it an ideal destination for RVers and campers from the US and Canada. Winter Texans come back year after year to enjoy these average daily temperatures: Spring 77', Summer 84', Fall 76', Winter 61' We are minutes from 4 great, but inexpensive, golf courses, a mega-theater complex, miniature golf and a major bowling alley. Our nearby local historical sites include: La Lomita Mission, Virgen de San Juan del Valle Shrine, La Lomita Chapel, St. Peter's Novitiate, Los Ebanos Ferry, The Downtown Pump House, El Granjeno Cemetery, The William Jennings Bryan Home, The Shary Estate, Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, The Rio Theatre, The Border Theatre, and The Tom Landry Mural.

Golfer's Paradise
Birders and Butterfly Enthusiasts from all over the world come to our park because we are within minutes of the headquarters for The World Birding Center and the North American Butterfly Association. Visit one of the nine designated sites that protect wildlife habitats throughout the Rio Grande Valley, including the 85-acre NABA Butterfly Park and The Santa Ana National Wildlife Refuge, where the intensive outdoor gardens of native nectar plants, natural habitat and specific caterpillar host plants attract vast numbers of wild, rare and native butterflies. Mexico is just minutes from Trade Winds. Cross the border into bustling Reynosa or take a short drive to laid-back Nuevo Progresso, where you can shop for the unique creations of skilled Mexican craftsmen such as jewelry, ceramics, hand woven fabrics and hand-blown glass. After shopping, toast the day's discoveries with a frosty margarita. For an unforgettable evening, you can enjoy entertainment of the mariachis. The culture of Mexico and its friendly people are not to be missed. You can also join our residents on a tour into the heart of Mexico from our park. Visit the cultural mecca of Mexico City, the artist community of San Miguel, the beaches of Mazatlan or the famous Copper Canyon, the Grand Canyon of Mexico.

The Magic Of Mexico
South Padre Island is a short drive from our park. On South Padre Island, you can have an unforgettable day of relaxation by lounging on the beautiful white sandy beaches or by sipping a coctail while the sun sets. While you are there, don't forget to dine in one of the many sea-side restaurants and visit the quaint shops for souvenirs, clothing and gifts. If you like to fish, then charter a boat for the day and try your hand at deep sea fishing. Or, you can enjoy a variety of water sports like water skiing, sailing, kite and wind surfing, para-sailing and swimming. Once you visit the Island, you will want to return again and again.
